Conditions of Competition

The 2024 Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA, shall apply as well as the Local Rules published herein.

First 9 (White Tee's)

9 Hole low net, both balls count.  Each team shall select one member to play the front 9 and one member to play the back 9.  Players will NOT play with their partner for the first 9 holes.  Full handicaps will be used.  The scores from each side will count for that event and team total. 

Stableford Scoring: Eagle- 5 points, Birdie- 2 points, Par- 1 point, Bogey- 0 points, Double Bogie (1) point, Triple or worse- (3) points.

12:00 pm Shotgun- Team members reunite for 2nd and 3rd 9's.  The leaders will tee off on 1st hole and scores will be paired accordingly.  

Second and Third 9's (Members Tee's)

Front 9- teams will better ball of partners.  Stableford Scoring as above

Back 9- Teams will play Chapman alternate shot.  Player A and B drive from the tee. Player A will then play Player B’s ball and Player B will play Player A’s ball. The team will then select the ball to complete the hole and play in alternate shot fashion until the ball has been holed. On Par 3’s the ball to be selected to complete the hole MUST be selected after both Players have hit their drives. Two-Man Chapman teams will be at 35% of the teams combined handicap. Fractions will be added at the completion of the 27th hole. (The provisions of Rule 29 shall apply to the alternate shot format of this event. This is a stroke play event.)

Handicaps:

1st 9 - Low net two ball- 95% of each players low handicap of the past 12 months
2nd 9 - Better Ball of Partners- 80% of each players low handicap of the past 12 months
3rd 9 - Chapman - 60% of low handicap and 30% of high handicap of each players lowest handicap for the past 12 months. 

Each players must have posted 20 rounds in the past calendar year.  Players with multiple clubs, will use the lowest handicap listed.  Handicap disputes will be decided by the committee and host professional staff.  

 

Entrance Fees- $1000 per man

Fees include: greens fees, cart, breakfast/lunch/dinner, beverages on the course and gratuities.

Note: There will be no rake, all committee members will pay full boat.  All funds will go directly to the above categories and most importantly to the overall pot.

We have a max of 80 golfers- 40 teams.  This event has sold out in the past and we anticipate that happening again.

If there is a waiting list: priority will be given to past attendees and rgc/evcc members.

Caddies:  Riverside will have a very limited number of caddies at this time of year.  Teams are welcome to bring their caddies to the event.

Better Ball of Pairs with Stableford points. One Better Ball (Net) shall count as the Score for the Team. (Rule 31. Four-Ball Stroke Play, shall govern this event.)

In order to play in the event a player must have posted 20 rounds in the last calendar year.  If players have handicaps at more than one club, the lowest handicap will be used.  All handicap disputes will be left up to the committee and host professional staff.  

 

Caddies: Riverside will have a limited number of caddies at this time of year.  Teams are welcome to bring their own caddies to the event.
